Christina Sambor receives Planned Parenthood 2023 Exemplary Leader Award

Christina Sambor, a licensed attorney and the North Dakota State Director at Gender Justice, will be presented Planned Parenthood’s 2023 Exemplary Leader Award at the Progress on the Prairie event on Wednesday, November 29 in Fargo, North Dakota. The Exemplary Leader Award recognizes an individual who has displayed a deep commitment to Planned Parenthood’s mission and work in North Dakota.

Along with the Center for Reproductive Rights and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, Christina and Gender Justice are suing the state to enjoin its abortion laws, which are some of the most restrictive in the United States. She previously led the lobbying effort for the North Dakota Human Rights Coalition during the 2023 legislative session and has led the opposition to the state’s efforts to restrict reproductive care and LGBTQ+ rights.
